 FINANCE DEPARTMENT
 

MISSION

The Finance Department’s role is to maximize the effective and efficient use of public funds through the implementation of internal controls and policies; follow directives and policies of our City Council and City Manager; build a unified team based on respect, trust, and mutual support.

  
OVERVIEW
The Finance department has the fiduciary responsibility to safeguard the City's financial assets and manage its financial resources in accordance with the goals of the City Council, City Manager, and in compliance with applicable laws and generally accepted accounting and financial management principles.
 
 The Finance Department is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial, operational and management information along with the coordination and implementation of related internal controls through a variety of functions, including:
      Cash management
      Revenue collection
      Investment management
      Purchasing
      Payment processing
      Financial Systems Administration
      Grants accounting
      Financial reporting
      Budgetary control
      Debt management
      Accounts payable
      Fixed assets
      and General accounting
